Explore the National Railroad Museum with your group. A guided group tour will provide participants with an in-depth interpretation of the Museum’s highlights. The Museum welcomes tour groups of all ages. Reserved tours for parties of 10 or more are offered throughout the year, except during Museum special events.

Included in a group tour is:

Adult
  • 45-minute Guided or Self-pace, Self-Guided Tour
  • 30-minute Train Ride (available May – September)
  • 30-minute Theater Presentation – Last of the Giants – a historic look at the Union Pacific Big Boy
  • Groups may allot additional time for Self-paced activities like: exploring other exhibits, climbing the Observation Tower or shopping in the Museum Store.
Youth/School
  • 45-minute Guided or Self-pace, Self-Guided Tour
  • 30-minute Train Ride (available May – September)
  • 15-minute Theater Presentation – Sly Fox and Birdie – animated railroad safety feature from Operation Lifesaver
  • Groups may allot additional time for Self-paced activities like: exploring other exhibits, climbing the Observation Tower or shopping in the Museum Store.

Hobo Lunches – Dine like a real rail rider! The Museum can provide your group with a hobo (box) lunch as part of your visit. Please ask for menu and pricing information when you make your tour reservation.

Express Packages – Don't have time to shop the Museum Store while you’re at the Museum? Let us do the shopping for you with our Express Package service. We offer gift packages priced from $2.00 to $10.00 that can be prepared to your group. Place your order in advance and we’ll have the packages ready for pick-up as you leave the Museum. Ask for more information about our Express Packages when you make your tour reservation.
